When admitted to private hospitals, a patient often needs to pay a deposit, which may increase his/her financial burden. Hence, some medical insurance products offer services which could achieve hospital admission without deposit and cashless discharge. This means the insured or insured person does not need to pay a deposit when admitted, and does not need to pay the medical expenses when discharged either. The insured or insured person does not need to go through the claim procedure with the insurance company afterwards, helping the insured or insured person avoid financial difficulties due to large medical expenses. However, the insured or insured person should notify the insurance company and complete the relevant procedures before being admitted to the hospital, so that they can enjoy this service after approval.
If there is remaining balance under the annual deductible/deductible (if applicable) of the designated insurance plans, the policy owner or policy holder needs to pay for the remaining balance at admission. If the medical expense paid on your behalf is higher than the benefit limit, FWD Life will collect that amount from the policy owner or policy holder.

Not necessary! “Cashless Facility Service1" can also apply to dedicated day case procedures, including Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy Service, Cataract Surgery and Wart Treatment. There are over 35 specialist medical service centres5,14 in Hong Kong and over 130 network doctors for selection5,14.
