VChoice Voluntary Health Insurance Plan (“VChoice”)

VChoice is an individual indemnity hospital insurance product regulated by government. With VChoice, you and your loved ones are covered for the medical treatments which helps ease the financial stress of medical treatments.

VChoice Voluntary Health Insurance Plan is a Standard Plan certified by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government under Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (“VHIS”) and is underwritten by FWD General Insurance Company Limited.

Government regulated: pay less in tax and save money

You can be confident VChoice is fair to you and meets the Government’s regulatory standards. If you are a Hong Kong taxpayer, you can claim annual tax deductions from the premium paid for yourself and you specified relatives.1

Comprehensive and continuous coverage

Provides you with an annual limit of HK$420,000 for hospitalization and surgical expenses with benefit limits reset annually2. Guaranteed renewable until the age of 100 (attained age).

Cover unknown pre-existing conditions

Pre-existing conditions unknown to applicants are commonly excluded from benefit coverage of ordinary medical insurance. VChoice, however, provides partial coverage during a waiting period of 3 years upon policy inception (i.e. 0% of claim amount in the 1st year, 25% in the 2nd year and 50% in the 3rd year) and full coverage (i.e. 100%) from the 4th year onwards.
